Neen Martin creates beautiful, playful, whimsical and endearing window art. It’s fantastic that she, and her small home-based business “Window Wonders” moved to Bridgewater last April, from northern Ontario. She provides window art at a reasonable fee for hotels, restaurants and storefronts, in addition to homes, using liquid tempera paint which easily washes off.
Many of her creations are inspired by nature, with birds, butterflies and florals. She also paints fall festive pieces and enchanting white winter snow scenes, as well as other seasonal creations for Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter and other holidays. “I will do whatever people want”, says Neen.
Neen says she is obsessed with painting. “It’s my place of peace and keeps me grounded. When I’m painting I just get in the zone…in a state of zen.”
In addition to window art, Neen paints portraits and murals and has also provided artwork for set designs. Be sure to check out her work on the set of the South Shore Players upcoming production of the “Beauty and the Beast, November 28 to December 1, at the Lunenburg Community Centre.
