Mark has dedicated his career to public service, serving as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 32 years. He retired from the RCMP in 2012, having served in detachments around Nova Scotia, including Halifax, Cape Breton, and the South Shore, where he retired as District Commander for Lunenburg County. Mark has fulfilled policing roles in Haiti and Kosovo.
Mark is a life-long community volunteer and supporter of amateur sport in Lunenburg County. He volunteered as a minor and high school hockey coach and power skating instructor. On weekends he can be found taking in the many amazing activities, events and celebrations that take place in our community. As an avid sports fan he enjoys attending hockey games at the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre or volleyball, basketball and other sports at local schools and athletic fields. He remains a supporter of Habitat For Humanity, is 30-year member of the Lunenburg County YMCA.
