A test of the public emergency alerting system will take place on Wednesday, November 28th at 1:55 p.m.
This is the second test this year of the Alert Ready system, which includes cellphones.
Minister responsible for the Emergency Management Office Chuck Porter encourages people to visit the Alert Ready site or speak with their wireless provider to confirm if their device is compatible to receive these alerts
It begins with a loud alert sound, followed by a spoken message on television and radio and a message on cellphone
screens.In addition to the alert system, the Emergency Management Office uses Twitter and Facebook to alert the public.
