Solar Nova Scotia is launching a campaign to inform homeowners across the province about residential solar electricity.
Chester-St. Margaret’s M-L-A Hugh MacKay, on behalf of Energy and Mines Minister Derek Mombourquette, announced on
July 3rd, 55-thousand-dollars for a project to develop and deliver a series of public presentations in Nova Scotia communities.
Mr. MacKay says supporting the solar industry will build on our successes in fighting climate change and help create green
jobs across the province.The funding comes from Low Carbon Communities, a program that promotes efficiency, solar energy, clean transportation and other programs that help communities choose where their energy comes from.
This year, 11 projects are receiving about 700-thousand-dollars.
